FAST Open Autocross - Nov 16 - Lakeland

Now it's closer to 3/4... Morning session is almost full. There's room in the afternoon though - we're done with the summer heat and the course will be nice and clean by then... :thumbwink:

I like haiku too.
Autocross is also good.
Mixing them tops all.

FAST Classic - Oct 12 - Venice Airport

It was 2. And the practice course worked out very well.

Here's the scoop.

Oct 12 Classic - Venice

Well, that was quaint. 28 drivers made for a really relaxed event, and allowed time for plenty of runs on the "practice course" down the south access road. Things ran along ahead of schedule most of the day, and best of all I'm pretty sure everyone had fun! (::) It took me 6 runs to figure out the c...

Daniel, Bill can't always make each event. Can I get on your co-drive list again?

10 more seconds would have increased your chances of getting lost by about 50%. :whip:

Nice run, Joe. Hopefully we'll be done with the heat soon... Event ran like clockwork, thanks to the cast of hundreds that was there. You are all terrific! Tons of help all day, several folks watching offered to lend a hand just for the sake of it, lots of bodies to help pack up. Nice. :notworthy: C...

Sep 7 Pointless Lakeland event

The driver that drove past 5 red flags was very apologetic. He honestly did not see them. This is why flag holders have to be vigorous and energetic with the flags. Waving casually typically won't get seen quickly. Drivers are focusing on their line. I went off on my 3rd run - not lost, just oversh...

Sep 7 Pointless Lakeland event

I was disappointed in the course though. I had two DNFs and was frustrated trying to learn the course instead of trying to go faster on the course. I suspect a lot of folks were in the same boat. In the afternoon, before the guided coursewalk, Jamie made an announcement to the effect that if you di...

Indeed. Too bad I didn't do those tech runs in a car with a back seat... (but then your FTD would've only had a wider margin... :notworthy: )

R1 - What's eligible?

I'm not savvy enough to tell - the proposed language would eliminate shifter karts, or other true go-karts, right?

And, since the "R" was for race tires, but that's not necessarily it, shall we also change the class name? Maybe "X" or some such catch-all?
