Self Isolation in the Garage - Post Your Car Projects

Brian and Loren are you both still skinny after being cooped up for 6 months? I'll bet even tall Charles has a paunch by now  I use the garage door exclusively to go get the mail now. Drive to box and back as air is filtered in car. :-D Changed filters last year as one was covered in Squirrel o...

FAST Monday - 15 June 2020

83% of all the dead FL people were over 65. 43% of them were in rest homes. I wouldn't be too concerned if I were under 65 and not in a residence or hospital.

I am currently put off eating bats tho'. Have a great Summer anyhow.

So after one year and a week I had to top off the AC with a lb of juice =$8. Cheap fix for an original 16yr old car w/93k. Cleaned the wheels for the first time in 6 months.

Self Isolation in the Garage - Post Your Car Projects

Forum posts seem to mention those with ABS having the rear brakes wear faster than the fronts. Now that you mention it, most of my later Hondas behaved like that. Well for sure my rwd RX8 wore out 2 sets of rear pads to one front set but I attributed that to traction control. Doesn't explain a fwd ...

School me on Race Tires

In the future, I may be subject to SCCA rules and will have to decide between de-tuning my suspension to be STH compliant or say yolo and go into classes that allow R comp or below 200tw. I've noticed some of the more affordable options like Toyo, Nankang ns2r, Federal FZ 201, others? So what about...

May and June events + a Survey

Wish I could take this survey.
I'm out eating in (supporting) restaurants and maybe planning a $1.70/gal road trip soon.
The government pulled the rug on the one I planned last winter.
June is looking good👍

hat Taveres surface Agreed. I frequently used that surface to take the top 1/32" off a new set of race tires in 4 runs. Also good competition up there from the regulars. Always enjoyed the gun fire helping me to drive it like I stole it and the flush toilets + picnic area like SPC. Nice people thos...

Since I don't have enough camber up front, Didn't you tell me once you were running neg 5 degrees camber? I could easily eyeball that it was a lot. But that was a year ago. My isolation project is selling my C5 to daughter tomorrow. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the stock 17x8.5 and 18x9...

It almost makes me ill that my life status as a 24/7 nanny won't allow the obtaining and enjoyment of Rob's last build. Look up the build thread on this car. Drool. Buy. Never yet raced zero miles build. Buy it before your fun life takes a permanent shit. A crazy bargain here. I pushed my Honda arou...

A few years ago I asked les about this cool race car. He was very polite but accurate in suggesting I probably wouldn't fit in it😂 True. Much less chance today. A fun VW project that isn't a Miata cart and light enough to tow with Lorens pickup.

I went to Jamaica 50 years ago when they still had public hangings. They probably still do. Awesome climate with the tradewinds.

I was under the impression I was co-driving with The Mayor, but he hasn't signed up yet. As such, I might need to call in a raincheck from one of you generous souls who've offered to share your car... Time will tell. Sorry Steve. I had high hopes like the Boeing Space Capsule. If you'd like to pay me 10 bucks to show the Old Bat how it's done, I'm in. :whip: My codriver won't be around 12/28 - I'll be looking for a ride that day, unless you'll be around and are tired of that big ol' heavy wallet that I can lighten up for you a bit? Okay. We were originally just going to ...

Well that sure came out of left field. (::) Steve, It's time for you to find the $10 bill under the windshield wiper again. :lust: Rules: We both run with the Old Bat but you and I run in Heats where the old Bat (wife) rides with you when I'm working and she rides with me otherwise because you don'...
