New Clutch?

If they'll do it, JUST replace the clutch disk. (don't resurface the flywheel or worry about the pressure plate, just give yourself a little more clutch disk) So I may be a little slow, but are you saying that if i dont have the flywheel resurfaced or the pressure plate replaced then I won't have t...

Affordable Choices... Federal RS-R, RS-RR or NEXEN SUR4

To the OP : I got 150 runs out of a set of RE71s on the pig heavy RS last year. So as Loren said, driving style is a top reason why tires go away. Especially on a heavy FWD car. Rotate often. Work on slow in fast out, smooth out the inputs.

FAST Business/Info Cards

You know the cards we hand out with the website address and a bunch of general info about autocross? Well, our initial run of 2,000 of them lasted us 3.5 years. We're about due to order some more. Wondering if they are effective. Should we even bother printing them? I know a lot of people take hand...

What about a PAX class?

Wait, everyone isn't fully built to class? I was just about to grab some TE-37 Volks, custom Penske shocks, and a header for my NA. Glad you guys mentioned this. /s I think we only have a dozen or so cars that could actually be called "prepped" for a class. I think that could be said for most clubs...

Lol. Pimp shocks are like 6k MCS shocks on a 20K car. (It happens in scca stock classes all the time )

What about a PAX class?

The person that might have a slight "advantage" would be the person who is in a combined class, and their car is in the "higher" of the combined classes. Averaging will bring their index down a bit. (but, no more than about .004) Likewise, the person that might have a slight "disadvantage would be ...

What about a PAX class?

If this guy showed up our PAX might fail a little bit. Even the SCCA's PAX had to be adjusted ( again ) for AMod. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7epUo8ZknV4 To put in perspective, Ken ran a 55.955 on one of the courses at the SCCA solo nats. He ran a 43.973. Yep. AMOD is pretty bonkers Sent from m...

What about a PAX class?

Seems like you got it as right as you need to get it. It’s another way to have “bragging rights “ and aligns Fast with other clubs that use it. (If you are only a Fast participant and don’t care for it, then don’t bother with it)

What about a PAX class?

Don't get too excited about this, it's purely experimental. Here's how I derived the Indexes: - Randomly made R1 0.900 - took the 2018 PAX indexes, and made each FAST class the average of the indexes of the SCCA classes that make up that class. - for Stock Classes, added 0.005 to the base because t...

Ya. I would not create any more classes. Just post overall pax results and make a sticker.

Would love for Fast to PAX. Offer a sticker for FTD and PTD. For those of us in “S” classes it gives us a sticker to shoot for. And honestly. I really only look at Pax results at big events. Last Jax event at Firm was 125 people. I was 19th raw, but 5th pax. I’ll take the top5 pax. Sent from my iPho...

Out of curiosity, what tires were you running?
255/35 RE71s. They have 100 runs on them. So there’s that.

I once knew an autocrosser who had the personalized licence plate "IH8TERAIN" I'm thinking of getting that for the vette. Its never been a good car to drive in wet conditions, but I think my recent changes have made it even worse. I think the -3.5 of camber up front and the "steam roller" tires, de...

As Jeremy Clarkson would denote next to your lap. “VW”. For very wet.

FAST Open Autocross - Sept 30

Hmmm... after ACTUALLY looking at registration, I think my goals for tomorrow are: 1.) Don't lose to the Mirage 2.) Don't be last in M1 Now I cannot figure out if I actually would fair better or worse in the rain. I almost just registered in M1 for the fun of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So wait just a minute.

Their high attendance is when the horses are running there, which are times they won't rent the lot to us. No where near those number for off track betting. There is plenty of parking for their patrons during the times we are there. The people complaining and parking on the grass are doing so becau...

Ya. I totally get the why. It's just somewhat funny to see basically a similar event at the site. (Causing the same problems they didn't want with us)

If that's true. Fine. I thought the patrons of the DT complains that they couldn't park close to go sit and gamble on dogs

We can't autoX there anymore because we take up parking. But it's ok for a car show ? Image
