Brooksville Status Report -2019

Some random thoughts -- No surprise they're planning to seal up the existing Runway Drive entrance...the plan has them moving the southeast/northwest runway there about 800 ft, right over top of that perimeter track. PEMCO, for those unfamiliar, also runs the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) ...

Torque? Miata drivers think torque is one of those Canadian winter hats with the fuzzy ball on top.

When will the carcasses be hauled off? When they've finished stripping the usable parts from them. I'm surprised the A318s are still there -- I'd thought they'd thoroughly cannibalized them by now, but I guess not. Maybe the skin sections are worth more than scrap. Expect the more recent arrivals t...

Y'know, it just occurred to me...this event is the first one I've seen Philip show up in something besides shorts and a T-shirt. We've finally found the limit of his tolerance.

Does the airport really benefit more financially from storing all those defunct planes? Absolutely, yes. I've no doubt they're getting much per month for each of those planes than they get from all the sports car clubs autocrossing there. And it's an aviation activity, which the FAA (who administer...

Dodge Dart GT - Has the same engine that's in the Abarth 500 and the Fiata. Not bad at all. Has a suspension upgrade that's firm enough that all the car reviewers comment on how firm it is... that might be a good thing. I've always liked the styling of this car. Upside: It's a Dodge, so it's deprec...

Is there an award for tight grouping of times? 4 of my 5 runs were within 0.067 seconds, and my first and last runs of the day were only 0.014 sec apart haha. That's unusual for me. It usually takes me a few runs to get up to speed. Yes...after my first run, I was certain I'd catch you. Five runs l...

Am I the only one who notices 200+ run co-driven Jamie dragging a tire trailer behind his 250k miled Miata and still finishing near the top? https://youtu.be/kA53yKzVgBA 244 runs on the tires, 281k on the car. Pretty soon it'll have more mileage than the Mayor. And the index results don't quite say...
