We're back at Lakeland to kick off the new season. This event will be run a lot like a FAST Open event, but it's not part of the championship. It's pointless!

Registration & Event Info

Basic event details:
  • Open to all licensed drivers.
  • Novices and first-timers are encouraged to enter!
  • Pre-registration is REQUIRED for all Drivers. Guest must pre-register if they want to partake of our refreshments.
  • Driver entry fee is $40, guest entry fee is $9.
  • This will be a split-format event. You can enter the Early session 8:00am-12:30pm or the Late Session 1:00pm-5:30pm, or both.
  • Snacks and cold beverages will be provided for all registered drivers and guests.

It's because there is no course map yet.

But jesus, that course is probably the most intertwined one I've ever seen. Incoming a lot of DNF's

Fixed.

It is intertwined, yes. I doubt that there will be many DNF's, though. Look closer. You're always pointed toward the correct apex. The only people who will get lost are the people who would get lost on ANY course because they're not looking ahead.

I'm channeling days at SPC.... It'll actually look clearer from the car. Interestingly enough, novices seem to have less problems on courses like this, because they're really paying attention to the cues and markers we tell them about...it's the folks who "know better" who get lost.... :smack:

As others have stated, these kinds of courses really aren't that hard to follow, the bird's eye view is very misleading. I actually really enjoy these kinds of creative courses.

If by "fair for all types of cars" you mean peak horsepower rating will be meaningless, than I agree entirely. ;-)

No doubt the course will be good, but I remember back at TBD we had a course where a bunch of people kept getting lost. The course map just gave me flash backs.

TBD course Im talking about.

NOT THIS EVENTS COURSE MAP. IF YOU USE THIS MAP YOU'LL GET LOST JUST LIKE HACKETT DID 3X
