I have a very important package coming - and I'm going to need some help with it... are you up for a journey beyond civilization, deep into Hillsborough brodozer country, at the roads end... in Valrico?

The aim of the day is to mount up some coilovers, and I'll even feed you too! I'll firm up the details when I have the tracking...

I can probably be there if some work doesn't come up. I'm no expert on NC suspension, though. Did Koni's on Cathy's car, and may have helped with John's? Or maybe he helped me with Cathy's car? I don't remember. I think John & Ron definitely have more NC suspension experience than I do.

The front is straight up double-wishbone, simple. The rear just has those weird rods going every which way. Still pretty simple, I just haven't messed with it as much.

Have you got all the tools you need?

Loren asking the real questions... i wanted to give it two hours to see who's just coming for the food, you know, no questions asked.

I have all the basics... breaker bar, TQ wrench, impact, sockets, floor stands, ramps, box wrenches, stands, allen's... And a harbor freight 2 miles from me.

I don't have a spanner wrench, need to figure out of that's in the box tonight.

You're set!

Should come with the kit. A rubber hammer is handy for tightening/loosening those locking rings. If you don't have one, should probably get one.

Hmmm... this could be a conflict of interest allowing M1 people over, but maybe I'll let you look...

Check - have one, maybe 2?

In looking through the instructions, I either need to drum up a set of rear top hats or pop them off the factory Bilstein's... what are the odds you've got a spring compressor?
(New territory here for me...)

I have a cheap set of stick-type spring compressors. But, if I'm absent, you can get the same one from HF for like $15.

Thanks for the offer, although, Loren was correct... there is indeed a set included in the box.

I'm looking at my weeks schedule. Unfortunately I don't think I can make it :bangwall:
If I can make it, I can bring a set of suicide sticks.

Oh come on... We all know where to find the fastest alignment in the bay area! I'll just do the rudimentary stuff to make it road habitable...

Please tell me those are Ohlins...

I have multiple sets of spring compressors you would be welcome too, though I won't have time to deliver them.. but you shouldn't need spring compressors to install a set of coilovers should you?

Out of the mildest curiosity, do you have Ohlins on the banana?

Spring compressor is just for taking the top hats off the rears since NC's are blessed with whatever special circumstances back there that they always need to be reused.

Nah, I'm not ballr enough for Ohlins, I don't even have coilovers, just good old fashioned leaf springs like a Model T. That's why I'm so slow... And you didn't answer the question.
